Turkey Bacon Club Burger

This recipe combines a few of my favorite things: bacon, burgers, and ranch. I am also a big fan of club sandwiches. This is a different take on all of these elements. I am going to say healthier than a classic burger with the same deliciousness.

Begin with one pound of ground turkey in a large bowl. Mix in panko crumbs, one egg, diced onion, and shredded cheese. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mold mixture into 6 patties. Cook turkey patties in medium skillet over medium heat for approximately 6 to 8 minutes per side. Careful not to burn! While the patties are cooking, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place 6 slices of bacon on a foil lined cookie sheet and cook bacon in oven for 15 minutes. Drain bacon on paper towels. Blend together sour cream and ranch dressing for the ranch topping.

Layout ciabatta buns. Spread ranch topping on buns and place turkey burgers on ciabatta. Top burgers with cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and bacon.

This recipe is a great healthy change up from a classic burger with all the favorite elements of a club sandwich. Recipe below:

Instructions:

Note: I did toast my ciabatta bun. I placed the bread on a baking stone and tossed it in the 400 degree oven for 5 minutes.
