Starting off the New Year with one of my favorite ingredients BACON! Here is my quick and easy recipe for bacon jam. It is both sweet and savory. Perfect for bacon lovers, which is let’s be honest is everyone!

Quick & Easy Bacon Jam
Easy Versatile Bacon Jam. Sweet & Savory for Bacon Lovers
Ingredients
- 1 pound bacon diced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 meduim yellow onion diced
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar light
- 1/4 cup sherry vinegar
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 pinch cayenne
Instructions
- In a medium pot, sauté diced bacon until almost crispy. Drain bacon grease leaving approximately 1 teaspoon.
- Stir in butter, onion, salt. Cook until onion is soft, approximately 7 minutes.
- Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook until thickens into a "jammy" consistency.
Notes
The bacon jam is very versatile. My favorite use is for a cheeseburger topping.
