Quick & Easy Bacon Jam

Easy Versatile Bacon Jam. Sweet & Savory for Bacon Lovers

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound bacon diced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 meduim yellow onion diced
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar light
  • 1/4 cup sherry vinegar
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pinch cayenne

Instructions
 

  • In a medium pot, sauté diced bacon until almost crispy. Drain bacon grease leaving approximately 1 teaspoon.
  • Stir in butter, onion, salt. Cook until onion is soft, approximately 7 minutes.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook until thickens into a "jammy" consistency.

Notes

The bacon jam is very versatile. My favorite use is for a cheeseburger topping.
