Crockpot Sausage & Bean

crockpot sausage and beans

Crockpot meals are a great time saver for busy families. This recipe for Crockpot Sausage and Beans is a hearty meal with a robust flavor. It is the perfect comfort food for a cold, wintry night.

I have made several versions of sausage and beans in the crockpot but I decided to just create my own. It caters to some of favorite ingredients and flavors. I experimented one weekend when we had our first real snow. Some of the ingredients that I added were crispy bacon, garlic, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard just to name a few. I put this meal on in the morning and then spent the day playing games with the family without worrying about dinner. Results were a warm, hearty meal that everyone enjoyed.

I typically correlate slow cooker meals with winter time. In reality, slow cooker meals are great for any time of year, especially the soccer and softball seasons. Working full-time, two busy kids, and one on the way, my time is precious. When you are taking your kids to soccer, cub scouts, or softball, dinner is the last thing you need to worry about planning. Instead of eating out all those rushed nights, slow cooker meals are a great solution that is much healthy for your family and your wallet any time of year.

I am glad I took note of the ingredients and process because this crockpot sausage and beans were really flavorful and had everyone coming back for seconds.

Since this recipe was a hit, I am sharing it. I served it with my mom’s homemade cornbread which really finished off the meal. I hope this one pot wonder is a dish enjoyed by your family as well. Enjoy!
