Sweet & Spicy Meatballs

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 bottle Teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 cup panko
- 2 T olive oil
- 1 T sesame oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 scallions green stalk, thinly sliced
Combine beef, spices, and 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce in medium bowl. Use a cookie dough scoop to make even sized meatballs.
Heat olive oil and sesame oil in medium sized skillet. Brown meatballs on medium heat, turning the meatballs to ensure they brown evenly on all sides.
After 10 minutes, decrease temperature to a simmer and add remaining teriyaki sauce. Cover and let simmer 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve over rice. Top with sesame seeds and scallions.
